P&O Irish Sea

The European Causeway Ferry
P & O Irish Sea operate passenger services to Troon and Cairnryan in Scotland. The P & P Express fast craft sails to Cairnryan in 1 hour and to Troon in 109 minutes from April to September. The superferries European Causeway and European Highlander sail up to 7 times daily from Larne and Cairnryan all year round (journey time 105 minutes).
P & O Express
It is important that passengers with additional needs inform the company when they are travelling, preferably when the reservation is being booked. This will ensure that you are given the appropriate assistance when you arrive at the Port of Larne. Measures can still be taken on the day of departure but advance warning enables the company to assist foot passengers on P&O.
If you arrive by car there are parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities within the car park. There is also a direct rail link to the ferry terminal for foot passengers. In the terminal there are toilets for people with disabilities, public telephones, a shop and restaurant. Wheelchairs can be made available, if required.

Travelling as a Foot Passenger

When travelling as a foot passenger, then you must arrive at the port at least 45 minutes prior to sailing. You will be escorted on board and transport will be arranged if required, to take you to lifts on the car deck which provide access to all of the boat's lounge areas, restaurants and shops and toilets for people with disabilities.

Travelling by Car

If you are travelling by car then you will placed in a special queue so that every assistance can be given to you. This will ensure primarily that you can gain access to the car deck lifts. The P&O staff will give you any assistance you may require.
