Norfolkline Irish Sea Ferries

Norfolkline Ferry
Norse Merchant Ferries operate a 'conventional' ferry service from Belfast to Liverpool.
It is important that passengers with additional needs inform the company when they are travelling, preferably when the reservation is being booked but measures can still be taken on the day of departure.

Travelling as a Foot Passenger

The passenger terminal is a single storey building and includes toilet facilities for people with disabilities. Once you have checked in you have access to all the amenities in the terminal. Following check in, you are taken by bus to the car deck lifts on board the ferry. Although the bus is not fully accessible you will be given every assistance possible to get you to the car deck lifts. You gain access to the main public decks by these lifts. Portable ramps are available to allow wheelchairs to get over the raised lips on the car deck doors.
There are two public decks, the first one contains the reception, shop, restaurant, bar, casino, TV lounge, toilet facilities for people with disabilities and seating area, all of which are fully accessible.
The second public deck contains the cabins, two of which are fully accessible including special en suite facilities, (book early to ensure that you get a fully accessible cabin, if required). When you reach your destination you will again be taken by bus to the main terminal. Likewise on your return to Belfast you will be taken by bus to the terminal building and from here you will have access to public hire taxis, which meet all the ferries.

Travelling by Car

If you are travelling by car, when you arrive at the terminal you will be placed in a special queue so that every assistance can be given to you. When you drive on board you will be positioned beside the on board lifts which will enable you to access the main decks on the ferry.
Remember - prior warning given to the company should help to make your journey as trouble-free as possible.
