The CTA is the national representative body for voluntary and community groups, schools, colleges and Local Authorities, who provide transport for people on a non-profit making basis.

The CTA is the UK's biggest provider of training and information on accessible, voluntary and community transport and has been in the forefront of promoting minibus safety for over 10 years. It is a charity and has a membership structure with an elected committee from that membership. The Association has offices in each of the four UK regions.
