George Best Belfast City Airport

Belfast City Airport

George Best Belfast City Airport

A new terminal opened 2001 designed to meet the needs of all travellers including those with special needs.

Disabled Parking

For the convenience of disabled badge holders parking bays are provided in the short stay car park, sited between the main gate and the terminal building. Drivers may park in the short stay and charges will be at the long stay rate.
Should assistance be required once parked, this is available on request via a telephone help point in the car park. All other facilities are accessible and there are fully accessible toilets throughout the terminal building. A number of staff have been trained in basic ‘signing’.
Once you leave the terminal building to get into the plane there are ambu-lifts available, if required. The airport staff will give you help if you need it to get both to and into the plane.

Arriving at George Best Belfast City Airport by Air

On arrival at the airport, by air, again you will be given every assistance, (if desired), to help you get off the plane and into the arrivals area to collect your baggage. From here you have full access to all parts of the terminal and car park. If you require a taxi, all of the airport approved taxis are fully accessible.
Please note that to get the best service it is essential that either you contact the airport or airline direct or via your travel agent and tell them that you have ‘special needs’ this should make for a trouble free journey.
